we love the winter - outside!
Winter in Muskoka can be long and cold - but those of us who embrace it and learn to enjoy it can have tremendous fun! This winter we intend to go cross-country skiing, tubing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing/snowboarding, and ice skating. Occasionally we see wild-life on our journeys - the brown lump in the second picture on the right is actually a beaver! (Picture taken while skiing at Arrowhead Provincial Park).
We even go on a winter camp! Training is mandatory for the camp to ensure we are well-prepared for the conditions and find it to be a comfortable adventure. We have great times in the snow! Watch for us at the Port Sydney Winter Carnival - look for our white dome shaped structure (see below) and green flag!
Our senior Explorers also have set a goal of attending the Toronto AutoShow in February this year.
To work together, Senior members of our group must take on leadership roles. To develop these skills, we will attend a leadership program operated by older youth.
